Meet Julie Holmer

Julie Holmer is a small business owner and civic leader who served for more than four years on the Plano City Council, including time as Plano Deputy Mayor Pro Tem.

On the City Council, Julie focused on increasing Plano's cultural profile, planning for the city’s transportation needs, ensuring smart growth to improve quality of life, supporting business development, strengthening public safety, and ensuring budget efficiency to keep taxes low.

Julie is a marketing and branding professional. Her career background also includes IT consulting, restaurants and human resources.

Julie is passionate about community and has constantly sought opportunities to be involved. She is a graduate of the Plano Citizen's Police & Fire Academies and Leadership Plano. She has served on the board of the City of Plano Census Committee, Plano Parks Foundation, Theatre Britain, her Parent Teacher Associations, Assistance Center of Collin County, and the Historic Downtown Plano Association.

Julie is a longtime Plano resident who has lived in the district since 1981. She is a graduate of Plano Senior High, and she and her husband raised two sons here. She holds a bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
